Books on cooking with the babycook.

I have got a few books on cooking with the babycook. Some get me inspired to make a nice baby diner, some don't.

Recettes babycook
by Beaba

This booklet is the original which belongs with the babycook when I bought it. I is quite thick, but there are not so many recipes in it: the book is in 12 languages. Also, there are quite a few commercial messages to promote other products by Beaba. I hardly ever use this book myself. For a baby under 8 months it holds only 8 recipes. The only recipe that I have cooked from this book is the recipe for pear. But this is not al real recipe, I easily could have come up with this myself. I haven't tried any of the recipes with chicken or fish. I don't like this book.

Baby Cookbook
byDavid Rathgeber

This is a very elaborate book, with many recipes. All recipes are especially written for the babycook. The book has been written by a French Chef. And it shows: all vegetables should be freshley bought at a farmers market. Personally, I never go any further than the supermarket. But I forgive him, he has a point and even if he hasn't I can still cook the recipes with vegetables from the supermarket. This book is a great source of inspiration. With great pictures and artwork. On the down side: it is a bit too 'haute cuisine' for me. I never eat waterchres of artichokes, so feeding it to my baby seems a bit strange and useless to me. Not all of the ingredients are available in the supermarket, that is another reason for me not te cook one of these recipes. All in all a book that stays on the bookshellf to often, for all the wrong reasons.
